What is the KNEE study?"
The Knee Study is the most extensive
effort to date to examine how education and exercise affect the long-term
maintenance of osteoarthritis of the knee.
Three hundred people in the Tucson area from all walks of life will participate
in this study over a two year period to help find solutions to one of
the most critical health care problems facing people today – osteoarthritis.
To help improve the outcomes of osteoarthritis, researchers from the Arizona
Arthritis Center, the University of Arizona and Arizona State University,
will work together to investigate how education and exercise affect the
long-term maintenance of osteoarthritis of the knee.
