The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Remicade for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis that have had an insufficient clinical response to either Humira or Enbrel. This study offers 5 Remicade infusions as well as study related medical care and services.

Cimzia, which is approved by the FDA for Crohn’s disease and now rheumatoid arthritis, is being evaluated for safety and effectiveness in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Cimzia may reduce the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and is administered by sub-cutaneous injection. At a certain point in this trial, patients will be able to self-administer the medication if they wish. There is a 4 in 5 chance of receiving Cimzia and a 1 in 5 chance of receiving placebo during the first 12 weeks of participation. During the next 16 weeks of participation, all patients will receive Cimzia.

Osteoarthritis (OA) suffers are invited for the unique opportunity to participate in a clinical trial to test an exploratory drug that may slow down or stop the progression of OA. Qualified participants will receive study-related medication (or a placebo) as well as study-related lab tests and medical exams. You may qualify if you are over the age of 40, suffer from osteoarthritis of the knee with pain; aching or stiffness on most days of a month during the past year; and you have no anticipated surgery on the knee inthe next 2 years.

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate an oral investigational medication to see if it can reduce keen pain caused by osteoarthritis. The study is 6 months long with the chance of receiving placebo. After 6 months, there is an option to enter the open label extension where participants receive the investigational drug with no possibility of placebo. Study related medical care and services are provided.
