The Arizona Arthritis Center (AAC) is a stand alone research department serving the Tucson and Phoenix Colleges of Medicine at the University of Arizona. It is the focal point and catalyst for clinical and basic research in immuno-rheumatology in the state of Arizona and internationally. The AAC is the only institution in Arizona providing the following services to the community under one roof:

• We perform research ranging from molecules to patients in order to develop a better understanding of disease mechanisms and to exploit such knowledge to develop and test better therapies.

• We offer wide-ranging, long-reaching education programs, which cover a broad array of topics with the common goal of empowering the patients in managing their lifestyles and diseases.

• As an academic institution, the AAC is devoted to the education of scientists and care providers with the ultimate objective to contribute to state of art care for patients.
