The Arthritis Center has a remarkable history of successful collaborations with community partners.  In addition, its dedicated board, Friends group, donors and volunteers have built a strong base of support.

Arthritis is the most prevalent disabling condition in the medical field; a full 37 million Americans - including one in four Arizonans - suffer from the painful degeneration and swelling in bones, joints and tissues that mark arthritis. Some 250,000 of those afflicted are children.  Osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis are among the more than 100 insidious forms arthritis takes.

It is an exciting time to be at the Arizona Arthritis Center.  The research team of dedicated doctors and scientists are committed to ultimately finding the cause and a cure for arthritis.  They have made remarkable advances in medical treatments for those who suffer the many forms of arthritis.  The work being done at the Center goes beyond the study of the autoimmune-based disease.  The Center also focuses on patient empowerment to ensure the highest quality of wellness for patients and their families.   The Life Compass initiative and its community program arms of "Living Healthy With Arthritis" and "Out of the Maze with Arthritis" provide valuable education and truly help patients become their own best advocates.

In order to continue its state of the art research and community outreach, the Arizona Arthritis Center needs your help.   Whatever your capacity to support the Arizona Arthritis Center, please know that there is a way for you to further the research and programs offered through the Center.   Your support will make a difference.

Ways to Give

There are many ways to give to the Arizona Arthritis Center (AAC), creating opportunities for excellence in arthritis research.

Your gift to the Arizona Arthritis Center will support the research being conducted at the Arizona Arthritis Center. Research outcomes will enhance academic programs with a broadened knowledge base available for application by the community of physicians, students, and most importantly, patients.

The focus of the Arizona Arthritis Center is on ground-breaking research in the areas of Pediatric Rheumatology, Adult Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis and Cartilage Regeneration. The goal of the Arthritis Center is to empower patients in the management of their lifestyle and disease by combining education, clinical care and support.

Less than one half of a percent of AAC’s operating budget comes from state funds, so every private donation makes a big impact on the research that is done here.
