Objectives: Participants should be able to:

  1. Define the microbiome and describe the ecology of the human microbiome as it relates to the states of health and disease
  2. Discuss the relationship between autoimmune diseases and the microbiome
  3. Understand how the microbiome and its manipulation can affect autoimmunity and therapeutic avenues
