Support the Arizona Arthritis Center (AAC) during and beyond your lifetime.  By including specific language in a will or trust naming the AAC as the recipient of a gift, donors help ensure the future of the AAC research and programs in the community, and can further its financial goals.

Why should I make a Planned Gift?

Many people wish to make charitable gifts but need to do so in a way that helps meet their other personal, family, or financial needs.  Planned gifts give you options for making your charitable gifts in ways that may allow you to

  • make a larger charitable gift than you thought possible.
  • increase your current income.
  • plan for the financial needs of a spouse or loved one.
  • provide inheritances for your heirs at a reduced tax cost.
  • reduce your income tax and/or avoid capital gains tax.
  • diversify your investment portfolio.
  • receive income from your personal residence.
  • plan for the transfer of your business.
  • leave a charitable legacy for future generations,

Planned gifts may provide immediate income and substantial tax savings for the donor.  For more information on Planned Gifts, please refer to

The easiest way to make a planned gift is a bequest through your estate plan.  Your bequest to the University of Arizona Foundation designated to the Arizona Arthritis Center may be a specific dollar amount, or it may be a percentage of your estate or the residue in the remainder of your estate.  You may determine how your gift will be used and whether it will be established as an endowment fund.
