Re-thinking Your Health: An Integrative Approach

Randy Horwitz, MD, PhD

 

About Dr. Horwitz:

The Founding Chair of the American Board of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Horwitz serves as the Medical Director of the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and as an Associate Professor in the UA College of Medicine.  He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Writers' Association for the American Association of Medical Colleges, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the Psychoneuroimmunology Research Society.  Dr. Horwitz received his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D in Immunology and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida.  He received his medical doctorate from the University of Illinois and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health studying rheumatologic disorders, followed by a three-year fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Wisconsin.  He served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin and at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin.  He completed his fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.  Dr. Horwitz is the author of the textbook: Integrative Rheumatology and is currently preparing his second textbook: Integrative Allergy and Asthma.   Named to the 'Best Doctors in America' list, Dr. Horwitz is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
